Beaches

Many to choose from. These are our favorites. Listed east to west.

All beaches on St. Croix are public. If you can get there without trespassing, you can be there.

Isaac’s - far east end, south shore. Just before you get to Point Udall, park in the small lot and hike down 20 minutes to a gorgeous, uncongested beach. Bring water and sunscreen.

Grapetree - east end, south shore. Head towards the Grapetree Bay Hotel & Restaurant but make a right at the “T”.

Cramer’s - east end, north shore. On the way to Point Udall.

Smuggler’s - east end, north shore. At the turn for Point Udall. Park on the side of the road and walk down to the beach.

Turtle Beach - On Buck Island. Sign up for a Buck Island Tour and spend some time on this perfect beach.

Chenay Bay - east end, north shore. At Bungalow’s on the Bay Resort. Bar/restaurant on the beach. Park in the lot at the resort and walk through to the beach

Shoy’s - east end, north shore. Turn right at the guard house right before you enter The Buccaneer Resort. Drive all the way to the end. Park in the lot and walk through the tunnel of mangroves.

Ha’penny (Haypenny) - mid island, south shore. Follow south shore road west of the Boy Scout camp. Turn at the two pink pillars.

Cane Bay - mid island, north shore. North of Carambola Golf Course. Easy access, great snorkeling from shore, bars/restaurants on the beach. Rocky entry except near boat ramp.

Sandy Point Park - far southwest corner of St. Croix. Long, white sandy beach. Open Sat/Sun Sept 1 to April 30 only to protect sea turtle nesting.
